Connecting Meta

Connecting Meta

Which steps you need for social posting, for ads, or both, and the order to do them in.

For Keystone to post to your Facebook Page and Instagram, or to run Meta ads for you, your Meta accounts have to be connected to the platform. Meta's setup is more involved than most, so this section takes it one screen at a time. Your Growth Partner tells you which of these apply to your plan and can walk through any of them on a call.

If you only want social posting

  1. Create a Meta developer account with the Facebook login that owns your business Page, and link Instagram if it is not already linked. Send us the profile ID the guide ends with.
  2. Accept the Keystone app request that we send to that developer account.
  3. Connect Facebook and Instagram in the console.

If you want ads (with or without posting)

  1. Create a Meta developer account and send us your profile ID.
  2. Accept the Keystone app request.
  3. Create an ad account dedicated to Keystone, with a dataset (pixel) attached. If you already have an ad account you want us to use, tell your Growth Partner and skip this step.
  4. Connect Meta Ads in the console.
  5. Add Keystone as a partner on your business portfolio so campaigns can be managed day to day.

Where it shows up

Connected accounts appear in Settings → Integrations, and the platform starts using them in Social and Ads. The pixel's state also appears on Website → Status.
